RECYCLING ROSARIES FOR THE MISSIONS: the Benedictine sisters of St. Cecilia’s Abbey have a rosary workshop and can turn old rosaries, even pieces of broken ones, into new rosaries for the missions. CONFIRMATION 2011
The policy of the Westminster Diocese is to offer teenagers the Sacrament of Confirmation at the earliest in Year 9 of secondary school, though years 10 & 11 are possible. After considerable deliberations the decision has been taken that here at St Benedict's Parish that preparation for and celebration of the sacrament will take place in Year 9. This changeover will be transitional over the next 2/3 years when Year 10 candidates will have priority with a limited number of extra places being made available for the younger age group on a first come first served basis.
Registration for Year 10 will take place on Sunday 12th September after the 9.00 am and 7.00 pm Masses and registration for Year 9 after the 9.00am and 7.00pm Masses on Sunday 19th September. Registration forms are available in the bookshop porch
