The Monastery > Visiting and Staying

St Benedict's experience, recorded in his Rule, was that monasteries were never short of guests. Happily that remains the experience of the monks at Ealing, and very welcome guests are too. In London we have, perhaps, a special mission to show that peace can be discovered even in the hustle and bustle of a great city.

Many of our guests come to visit the Abbey Church with its adjacent Parish Centre.

Other guests may ask to meet some of the monks, or to join the monastic community for a meal.

Some guests just wish to make a little prayerful space in their lives for the inside of a day, or to stay for a night or two.

But to really find out about the monks' way of life there is only one way - and that is to come and see it. Some of our guests are interested in staying with us to experience the monks' life at first hand, either just for a few days or for a little longer - or for life ...

Whether you are in any of these groups, or in none, you will be very welcome.
