In response to the Holy Father's Year of the Priesthood here at the Parish of St Benedict, Ealing Abbey, we intend to host a 'Discovering Priesthood Day' on Saturday 13th March 2010 to provide the opportunity for young men to come together to learn more of the nature of priesthood and begin to discern God's call.

In addition to covering the secular diocesan priesthood we intend to provide participants with an introduction to the distinctive priestly charisms of our own English Benedictine community and two other religious communities, The Franciscans Friars of the Renewal and The Community of St Jean.

The day begins at 10.00am and ends around 4.00pm. The representatives from the diocese and communities will each give a short presentation and answer questions etc. There will also be a showing of the vocations DVD from the USA -'Fishers of Men', and of course Holy Mass, prayer, social and recreational time.

For those young men who wish to make a longer visit overnight accommodation can be provided in the Monastery and Guesthouse.
